Way Off Broadway Theatre, located on West Fourth Street, hosts shows for adults and children, acting lessons and special events. For the past 10 years, WOBT has performed on its own stage, presenting productions ranging from Steel Magnolias to Little Shop of Horrors and community Christmas potlucks. The Prattville Community Chorus and Prattville Pops also help keep residents entertained with their distinctive musical stylings.

The Prattauga Art Guild works to bring fine art and art education to the entire region. The Creative Arts Center is home to the guild's permanent collection, featuring works by Prattville's own internationally known artists Charlie "Tin Man" Lucas, Russell Everett, Nancy Ria and others. Free art classes and workshops are also available at the center throughout the year. Special events help nurture the local arts scene, including ARTrek each September, which spans several locations in the River Region. The guild holds an annual Prattauga Art Guild Juried Fall Show each October. People can also channel personal creativity by choosing from art classes offered at P'zazz Art Studio in downtown Prattville.

For more than 64 years, Mann Dance Studio has offered dance and gymnastics classes for all skill levels. Ranked in the top 150 dance studios in the U.S., The Centre for Performing Arts accepts students age 2 and older. Another popular studio is C.J.'s Dance Factory, which focuses on ballet, jazz, tap and tumbling.

The Annual Canoe Trail Fun Run allows people of all ages to try canoeing down Autauga Creek. The Annual July 4th Celebration is held at Pratt Park Amphitheatre and includes the Annual Cardboard Boat Race, when families build and race cardboard boats. A spectacular fireworks display follows. Other annual events include a fall pumpkin patch, the Autauga County Fair, a Halloween Candy Walk, a Christmas Parade, outdoor movie nights, a Mardi Gras Parade, the Fountain City Arts Festival and the annual Prattville CityFest, an arts and crafts event sponsored by the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Daniel Pratt Historic District covers 140 acres and includes 154 buildings, with architecture ranging from Greek Revival to Italianate and Bungalow styles. Grand residences are also part of the landscape in Prattville. The Bell House, completed in 1893, is a two-story Queen Anne beauty listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Buena Visa, a Greek Revival home, has attracted admirers for nearly two centuries. It's said that Andrew Jackson liked the staircase so much he built one at the Hermitage in the same style. Artesian Wells Prattville is known as “The Fountain City” because of its numerous artesian wells. Many of these wells were capped or ceased to flow when efforts were made to move them. However, many wells still produce gallons of sweet, free-flowing clear water daily. At many of the public wells, thirsty citizens wait their turn to fill plastic jugs with the fresh water. Enjoy a drink of water and sit a spell under the tin-roofed well shed on Doster Road, sip from a dipper at the well in the back yard of the Prattaugan Museum/Heritage Center, slake your thirst at Heritage Park overlooking Autauga Creek, or at any of the other public artesian wells.
