Education and Training

The Prattville area offers excellent educational and job training choices. The Autauga County School system was awarded the 2020 Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence Award in recognition of their partnership with Maxwell- Gunter Air Force Base and the 2024 Industry of the Year awarded by the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the public PreK-12 system, there are several local private school options as well as home school groups. Multiple two and four-year institutions of higher education along with Alabama’s premier adult career training resource are within easy driving distance.

Public Schools

The award-winning Autauga County School System consists of 14 schools, eight of which are located in Prattville. All schools are accredited by Cognia, and offer a variety of subject matter and extra-curricular activities to suit the needs of each individual student. Athletic programs available include football, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, golf, track and softball. Two of the county high schools, Prattville and Marbury, offer band programs for their students with music inclinations. The Autauga County School System offers something for everyone, providing a constructive, pleasant learning environment and is working to ensure that today’s students have a bright future ahead.
