The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is the vanguard of community stewardship and regional responsibility in the River Region. The Chamber is a membership organization comprised of local business owners and executives who believe strongly in the free enterprise system. As a special interest group for business, the Chamber provides a host of programs and services designed to help businesses of all sizes grow and prosper. Here are just a few of the exclusive benefits that a Chamber membership provides.

NETWORKING
Who you know does make a difference! Make important business contacts at Chamber functions. 

  • Annual Banquet
    The banquet is held annually to present the new volunteer staff and the ideas and mission for the year. It includes dinner, entertainment, silent auction and much more.
  • Business Before & After Hours
    Chamber members may sponsor a mixer at their place of business. The mixer is open to all Chamber members and their guests and allows businesses to showcase their stores.
  • Luncheons
    Chamber members may sponsor a luncheon at their choice of places. This a great place to present a speaker
  • Special Events
    Events such as Farm City Banquet and Christmas Open House are additional networking opportunities provided throughout the year.

MARKETING

  • Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breakings, Open Houses, Grand Openings
    Assistance with these events will be provided to all Chamber members. A short notice must be given to Chamber staff to schedule one of the above events. Photos of these events are featured in local media publications.
  • All Chamber Publications
    Members will receive all print materials sent out by the Chamber of Commerce. This will include invitations to all events and seminars, chamber guide, and other community activities.
  • Mailing Labels
    Chamber members may purchase mailing labels of Chamber members.
  • Mailers
    The service of a one-time complimentary mailer is offered to chamber members. The chamber is happy to help with additional mailers for a minimal fee to pay for postage and labor.
  • Referrals
    Members' names and phone numbers are distributed to thousands of people inquiring each year about goods, services, shopping and visiting opportunities. The Chamber office is open five days a week to serve its membership.
  • Brochures Displayed
    Members may display flyers, brochures and business cards at the Chamber office.
  • Event Sponsorships
    The Chamber offers many opportunities for you to promote your business through event sponsorships.

  • Small Business
    Small Business Incubator through the Council of Small Business Enterprises (COSBE)
  • Seminars
    Seminars and educational opportunities are made available throughout the year at little or no cost to Chamber members. Please watch your mail out, web site, or paper for listings. If you would like to suggest a program please contact the Chamber.
  • U.S. Chamber of Commerce
    Small businesses are eligible for free membership in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Membership gives you access to the U.S. Chamber online resource library, weekly e-newsletter, and discounts on various products and services to help your business.

REFERENCE LIBRARY

The Chamber maintains data useful to business or residents in the community. Such data includes major employers' directory, demographics, census information, apartment guide, clubs and organizations, state directory of manufacturers, zip code book, and the world wide chamber of commerce directory.

GOVERNMENTAL REPRESENTATION

The Chamber takes a pro-business stand on legislative issues under the directive of our members. The Chamber is dedicated to monitoring relative issues, and consistently offers feedback to our local and state legislators. TOURISM

The Chamber serves as the Tourism/Visitor information center for the city. Businesses are referred daily concerning places to stay, eat, and shop. Special tourism events are coordinated by the Chamber. Examples are golf tournaments, bass fishing tournaments, sporting events, Historic District tours and much more.

  • Alabama Sunrise Region
    Alabama Sunrise Region, Inc. membership, a 15 county organization promoting community development in east central Alabama
  • Central Alabama Hospitality Association
    Promotes hospitality organizations such as hotels, restaurants, chambers of commerce, tourist attractions, etc.
